Lucy Liu reports on the water crisis in the Ivory Coast

As people across the country dine out in support of the Tap Project and UNICEF's efforts to bring clean water to children in need everywhere, UNICEF Ambassador Lucy Liu delivered this video report on her recent mission to the Ivory Coast:

"Child Survival" column added to Fieldnotes

We launched the Fieldnotes blog in October 2006 with the following note to readers:
"Every day UNICEF is doing ground-breaking, life-changing work in over 150 countries around the globe... While we can't fly all of our friends to the field we hope this blog will help you see the vital work your generous support makes possible every day."
This month we launched a new "Child Survival" column that will address the reasons why kids are dying needlessly and what we can do to stop it.

Read the first post and share your thoughts.

    Hello,

On Wednesday night I looked up to see the Empire State Building lit a brilliant blue in support of the Tap Project. It was an amazing sight.
So many incredible things have been going on nationwide this month to raise awareness about clean water and its relationship to child survival.
If you've participated in the Tap Project this year, we'd love to hear about your experience.
If not, there's still time: eat out at a participating restaurant and celebrate World Water Day tomorrow!

    Best regards,
